Use the CRM in Claude and ChatGPT

This help covers the CRM. Sales Engagement is coming December 1.

Connect LeagueBoots

In Claude:

1. Open Settings, then Connectors, and select Browse connectors.
2. Find LeagueBoots and select Connect.
3. Sign in with your Google or Microsoft work account and allow access.

In ChatGPT:

1. Open Settings, then Apps.
2. Find LeagueBoots and select Connect.
3. Sign in with your Google or Microsoft work account and allow access.

To disconnect, remove LeagueBoots from Claude’s connectors or ChatGPT’s apps. All of its access stops.

What each tool does

The CRM holds companies, contacts, deals, products, activities (calls, emails and meetings), tasks and reps. Claude or ChatGPT picks the tool for what you ask, so you never need to name one.

• describe: who you are in your organization, and the CRM’s fields, deal stages and allowed values. Claude or ChatGPT calls it first.
• search: finds records of one kind by any field, or by text in names, domains and emails, as they are now or as they stood on a past date.
• get: reads records with what’s related to them, such as a company’s contacts, deals, activities and tasks.
• list_changes: lists what was added or changed since a date, with each field’s old and new value, such as stage moves and slipped close dates.
• aggregate: counts and totals records, such as your pipeline by stage or deals won this quarter.
• create: adds up to 50 records at a time, such as a list of companies to import, a new deal or a logged call. A company or contact that’s already in the CRM is refused.
• update: changes up to 10 records at a time, such as a deal’s stage or close date. Every earlier version is kept.

Prompts to try

• “Show me my pipeline.”
• “What did the Ledgerly deal look like on October 1?”
• “Log my call with Dana at Ledgerly: deal opened at $18,000 a year, and the next step is sending pricing by Friday.”
• “What changed in my pipeline this week?”
• “Add these companies to my CRM:” followed by a pasted list.

Troubleshooting

• Claude or ChatGPT doesn’t use LeagueBoots: check that LeagueBoots is turned on for the chat in Claude’s tools menu, or pick it from the + menu in ChatGPT, then mention your CRM in the prompt.
• Every answer comes back empty: a new CRM starts empty. Paste or upload a list of companies and contacts and ask to add them.
• A company or contact is refused: it’s already in your CRM. Ask to update it instead.
• It asks you to sign in again, or sign-in fails: disconnect LeagueBoots, connect it again, and sign in with the same Google or Microsoft account you signed up with.
• A LeagueBoots tool fails or times out: check status.leagueboots.com. If it shows a problem, we’re on it and it updates when it’s fixed.
